Andrew Zox

Director and writer Andrew Zox develops movies under his production company Zox Project.

Andrew's film I Am My Own Mother was an official selection at the 2018 Cannes Film Festival.

His first film It Goes Quiet premiered at Athens International Film + Video Festival and Chicago International REEL Shorts Film Festival.

Zox’s music video Ode to Malala by legendary folk artist Suzzy Roche about Pakistani activist Malala Yousafzai, premiered at The United Nations for Day of the Girl.

His theater installation My Way Little Girl debuted at The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts and won the Experimental Pick of the Washington, DC Fringe Festival. His other plays include The Tender Spot of a Human Hand and Serious Hammering.

Andrew appeared in Ang Lee’s film Taking Woodstock and is a former company member with the Helen Hayes winning troupe Synetic Theater.  He has appeared / directed with Classic Stage Company, Playwrights Horizons, Performance Space 122, Berkshire Theater Festival, Folger Theatre, Olney Theater, Theater J, and Ars Nova.

He has taught physical theater at New York University, The Neighborhood Playhouse, The Stella Adler Studio, and The William Esper Studio.

Andrew graduated with a B.A. from Middlebury College and M.F.A. from San Francisco State University School of Cinema where he taught film theory and screenwriting classes.

Andrew's currently in development on his first feature films.
